I have been trying to phone the 1-800 number for the Office of the
Registrar General with regards to my birth certificate. I need a
replacement one, so I faxed the info to them. Now with regards to
a fax, I like to harken back to one of my favourite books, Microserfs
for this quote. “A fax is like and email from 1987″. So
using that concept, it doesn’t seem that foreign that when I phone this
toll-free 1-800 number, I get a busy signal. Now really, how
often in the last 5 years have you phoned an actual office and got a
busy signal? Probably not very often, if at all. Leave it
to the Ontario government to not even have a proper phone system.
Now it’s one thing to phone a place and wait in a phone queue for an
hour waiting to talk to someone, but it’s another thing entirely when
you can’t even get through to wait in line. You just have to keep
trying until you get through. Now this is total horse apples if
you ask me. I thumb my nose in your general direction Dalton
McGuinty.
