Awhile ago I mentioned how the new Oasis track didn’t give me that warm
and fuzzy feeling when I listened to it. I have just listened to
a couple more tracks from the new album, and I can safely say, they
give me that feeling. The track that has really hit me is Keep
The Dream Alive. It makes me think this is the sound Oasis have
been trying to hit on with that pseudo-indian sitar sound on Who Feels
Love? and All In The Mind. I think they finally got it
right. That song doesn’t sound like anything Oasis has done
before, and it hits me as something alot of people would like, not just
the hardcore fans. Liam’s voice sounds in top shape. I also
really like Let There Be Love. This was one of the leaked demo
songs from 2000, and I didn’t like it then. This version is
great. It’s got Liam and Noel trading verses and seems like the
perfect way to close out an album. I can’t wait to hear a proper
stereo version.
