I had quite the busy weekend.  Friday I had dinner at Corina’s and
met her Aunt from Alberta.  She’s a pretty good cook.  We had
steak for dinner which was pretty nice.  It was one of those huge
steaks, so I didn’t even get through the whole thing.  Saturday I
decided to do some rearranging of my apartment.  It wasn’t flowing
right for me, so I dissassembled my futon in the living room and
re-jiggered things.  The room is alot more open now without have
the junk collector of a futon there.  I managed to jam the whole
thing into my 3.5′ x 3.5′  storage locker in my building, so that
was handy.  I then took to the task of sanding down my coffee
table.  This has been an obsession of mine of late.  I have a
really nice coffee table that I acquired from my aunt, but I didn’t
like the dark wood finish.  So I’m stripping it down and I’m going
to give it a red wood cherry kinda finish to it.  It’s going to be
boss.



So on Saturday night I went to a Buck and Doe with Corina and my
friends Rob and Jordan.  It was a good time.  Got to see some
people I hadn’t seen in awhile and have a generally good time. 
Corina was on the bitter bus
given all the Star Wars talk that took place.  But what can she
expect?  A bunch of geeks, getting together to drink a week and
half before a new Star Wars movie comes out?  Come on!



On sunday ’twas Mother’s Day, so we had brunch at the ‘rents.  My
sister and Rich cooked up a feast of breakfast goodies.  It was
quite awesome.  I picked my mom up a salad spinner, which went
over very well.  Aces.  Then off to Waterloo to see my friend
Kim, who was back from Ottawa for the weekend.  Got to hang out
for a bit before she had to get packing and heading back.  While
in Waterloo I picked up a new pair of Adidas Superstar 2Gs. 
I was actually wearing the same pair I bought today, but they were the
last great pair of shoes I owned, so I just got another pair.  I
had already replaced them twice with other shoes, but I kept falling
back to them, so figured why not get another pair?  We then booked
it back for dinner with Corina’s Mom for mothers day, then drove back
to my place.  Busy day. 



We finished the weekend off by watching the last half of Lost that we
missed on Wednesday.  I’m pretty jazzed about the new
episodes.  I can’t wait.  Guess that’s the downfall to the
downloading of the shows and watching all of them in big chunks. When
you have to see it live it lacks the instant gratification of having
the next episode all queued up and ready to go.  Anyhow, I like
how the plot is shaping up.  I think things are going to get good
for May Sweeps.  On the plus side of things, I can at least read
the lost website and check out some of the cool shit they have on there.
