I had been thinking lately that my keyring has become unweildy. I have lots of crap on my keyring, and I think I’m going to start pairing it down. Here’s an outline of what actually lives on my keyring.

01. Remote Lock thingy for a 2005 Ford Focus
This is for Corina’s new mobile. It’s quite handy. I like using it to lock the doors right before someone is about to open it, thinking it’s unlocked already. Good times.

02. Car key for a 2001 Hyundai Accent GSI
The key for my mobile.

03. Dirty Key
One of the handful of keys I got when moving into my apartment building. May or may not be for laundry room(it’s never locked anyways)

04. Dirty house key
Key for unlocking said apartment. I’ll be getting a new one of these when I move into my new apartment next month. I always know which one it is because of the 2 see-through parts at the top.

05. Car dealer propoganda
A keychain thingy from the dealership Corina bought her mobile. Definitely expendable.

06. Very worn mail key
It’s all small and stuff, so I know which one it is. Always fear I’m going to break it when using due to it’s flimsy oldness.

07. Coke propoganda
One of those little key things for iCoke.ca. I don’t know why it’s there, as I haven’t even seen another place that offers Coke deals aside from New Orleans Pizza. I don’t even like Coke. Expendable.

08. Corina’s house key
Good for entering Corina’s house. Know it by it’s orange head cover, making it easily identifiably among a maw of keys.

09. Rents front door key
Good for entering front door of parents house.

10. Rents backdoor key
An original Black and Decker key for the lock. Recovered from a set of keys I had lost years before while moving the old brown couch. They were so lodged in there that I physically cut them out of the bottom of it.

11. USB Drive
A 128 meg USB from Lexar. Handy for carrying files from one place to another. I lost the cap quite awhile ago.

12. Bottle opener
A Christmas present last year from my parents trip to Frankenmouth in Michigan. I always wanted a big beer bottle opener. My dad always has had one on his keychain. Good for opening delicious beers like Stella Artois.

13. Car key for 2005 Ford Focus
Key for Corina’s mobile.

14. Ottawa Senators Carboneer
At least I think it’s called a carboneer. Another Christmas present from last year. My parents conspired to fill up my keychain last year. Good for hooking keys to other things.

15. Assorted key
Another one of the mittful of key I acquired when moving. Never used it, so who knows?

16. Storage Key
Key to get into the storage room in my building. Looks old.

So even though I have so much crap on my keyring, it looks like I’m only getting rid of 2 non-consequential things. My pockets are full.
