What a weekend. I am so rediculously tired, but it was well worth it. Corina and I hosted the first party at our apartment on Saturday night. It went off quite well. The place was packed and everyone seemed to have a great time. While lots of noise was made, the cops didn’t show up, which was a good thing.

My costume turned out pretty great. I went as an Amish/Mennonite dude, as you can see above, as I stand basking in the glory of my rolling cornfields. Everyone had great costumes. The winner of best guys costume was Kitchen(as a cowboy, complete with guns and lasso), who after a tie in voting won in the subsequent dance off over Noel(dressed as a preppy jerk named Chet). Once Kitchen busted out the sprinkler is was all over. The best female costume went to Allison, who dressed as Josephine, to Dan’s Napoleon. There was lots of cap gun fights, wigs worn, cleavage, candy and punch consumed.
As the party was winding down at about 12 a bunch of us decided to make our way down to Knuckleheads for last call. That turned out to be a great idea, as it was Halloween Karaoke night! We showed up at the right time apparently as it was just in time for the judging of best costume. Phil(as Yankee Doodle, with horse and feather) and Sam(as a gangster, with tommy gun) and I entered the guys competition, and according to a bar full of drunk people, I won the best costume, netting myself an Official Bikini Contest Judge t-shirt and a gift certificate. It was pretty great. Then to top off the evening, I got to sing last song, doing my rendition of In The Meantime by Spacehog, with Sam doing backup vocals. While I was on-stage people were chanting Amish!, and wanted me to sing Amish Paradise by Weird Al, but I didn’t know the song well enough. We then left Knuckleheads and to the Royal for their last call, only to find the Royal had a lineup. Of all places, I would never in a million years have expected, let alone waited in line to get into a scummy place like the Royal. So we opted to call it a night and head back instead of waiting.
It was an absolute blast of a night and I had such a great time. It took pretty much all week preparing our apartment for the party, but it was well worth the investment. Sunday was pretty much a write off as Corina and I got up at 10, went out for chinese buffet(as is the custom after having a party), then proceeded to come home and have a 4 hour nap. Nothing like a 4 hour nap to recharge your battery.
