It seems of late I’ve become an inadvertant karaoke fiend.  I ended up going twice this weekend, following up last weeks Halloween karaoke capers.  Friday was kind of inadvertant, as a bunch of us went out for a "pub crawl" in Uptown Waterloo(Waterloo is too cool to call their city core downtown, so it’s instead uptown).  It wasn’t much of a pub crawl as we only ended up going to McMullins, then to the be all, end all of karaoke places, the Silver Spur.  I had never been to the Spur before and I was quite impressed.  This was the place to go for karaoke in the area.  They run it 7 days a week.  So going on Friday it was just jammed in there.  I sang 2 songs, both of which went over quite well.  I started with a little Genesis’ I Can’t Dance(which I can’t), then did for the first time Blind Melon’s No Rain.  That was a song I had always wanted to give a go and it went awesome.  A bar with like 200 people were all singing along, people dancing in front of the stage, it was great.  My friend Vanessa was even throwing clothes at me on-stage, which I thought was funny.  I had already had a few beverages on the evening as well, so I had a little more stage presence then normal.  It was a fucking blast.  I hope to do that one again sometime.

And now for something completely different…
Here’s a link to the Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer and Andy Bell performance I uploaded awhile back.  I’ve received quite a few requests, so I thought I would make it available again.
