Jebus H Crikey, finally Lost is back on tonight. Nothing like a 3 week hiatus to cause your mind to wander. I saw a commercial for the show yesterday that jogged my memory that someone is supposed to die in this episode. Speculation seems to be leaning towards Sawyer or Shannon. I honestly hope it’s not Sawyer. I think the show would really suffer without the rogue, Han Solo-ish qualities he brings to the table. While he does have that gunshot wound, I think it would be too predictable if he went. Shannon is pretty much just eye candy and has no real good plot. She had wanted to kill Locke, but that passed and now all she does is whine about seeing Walt in the woods. The odd thing I find is that they would kill both Shannon and Boone, the brother and sister pair on the show. It might light a spark under (West)Sayid’s character given his interest in Shannon and make him interesting again. I find with the way this season has gone so far it seems they’ve spread themselves too thin, covering plots happening in too many places. Hopefully once the cast gets back together the show will pick up again.

I watched the first hour of The Amazing Race last night. It was decent, but it’s abundantly apparent that this is the weakest of all the Amazing Races so far. I can’t wait to get back to the cut-throat action of the conventional 2 person team race. As a consolation, at least the Paolo family from New York finally got eliminated. I think one of the things that has bothered me the most about this show has been the way the teams interact. It irritates me that they all refer to each other via nicknames or where they live. Why can’t they just use the family name? It becomes irritating when each team calls each other team different names, so it’s hard to keep track of who they are bad-mouthing. All I can say is that I hope the Weaver family gets eliminated next. You can tell the show wants you to be sympathetic towards the Weaver’s because they lost their Dad, but really, when they spend all their time talking behind people’s backs on the show or crying it’s hard to be sympathetic.
