For those who might have forgotten the show was still on, Lost finally comes back tonight.  It’s about bloody time too.  The whole month of December, then a week into January is a bit much.  Tonight’s show better be good.  I listened to the most recent Lost podcast and they addressed the whole long hiatus thing.  Apparently the show takes up to 2 weeks to shoot and edit and all that jazz, so they need the breaks to keep up with the schedule.  This season they arranged to show the episodes in larger blocks or 5 or 6 weeks instead of 2 weeks on, 1 week off like it was last year.  The Lost podcast is worth a listen, even though it does come off as rather amateurish.  It’s kind of amusing that a podcast that is officially sanctioned by ABC and available through their site is such poor quality.  The show normally features 2 of the producers from the show and they do have a fair amount to offer in regards to insight into the show, as well as having interviews with members of the cast.  The issue with the show is the sound engineering.  Almost every show has someone with a mic that’s too loud or not loud enough.  It gets to be rather irritating.  All the same, it’s worth checking out if you’re really into the show like myself.  Here’s the link to the iTunes podcast.
