Last year there was an episode of South Park that was banned from being re-run on television. The episode basically centered around Scientology and Tom Cruise being gay. Now there is really something wrong with that. How is it that Scientology and Tom Cruise wield enough power to have the episode quashed? South Park has made fun of the Roman Catholic church, presidents, gays, women, other countries and anything else you can think of, yet none of those episodes managed to get banned from being re-run. Shows you what is really wrong with the world. But thanks to the power of the interweb, here’s the episode in it’s entirety.
South Park Episode "Trapped In The Closet"
Having seen the episode, it’s really not that offensive. I’ve seen far worse on South Park over the years. I think the fact that the show exposes, to a wide audience, the truth about Scientology really is what’s at hand here. I never knew what the religion was all about, but given some of the facts included in their beliefs, it makes me wonder how anyone in their right mind could possibly believe that garbage. If you don’t watch the video, take a quick read through the wikipedia entry on Scientology for a laugh.
