I’ve been getting carpet bombed with comment spam for the last 3 nights.  I’ve reinstalled pivot blacklist and cranked up the spam protection.  Hopefully you should be able to use to site as per usual, but without the stupid spam.  The part that gets me about spam is really what’s the purpose?  The stuff I’ve been getting hit with is all like " Hello! Very interesting and professional site." and "Holla and happy thanksgiving" and just points to one of those bullshit search engines that nobody uses.  What’s the point?  It seems like lots of effort for absolutely nothing.  It’s not like they’re even selling anything good.
