I’m watching the start of the Home Run Derby and managed to catch the performance of the new MLB theme song. What a poopsicle of a song. I’ve heard the MLB wanted to illicit with this song the same reaction that “Are You Ready For Some Football” get for the NFL. Let me tell you, boy howdy did they miss the mark on that one. It sounds more like “Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy”, which is code for crap. Baseball doesn’t strike me as a sport that really jives on country. It’s most popular in the northeast, so it doesn’t quite make sense. I know Country is really popular these days, but that doesn’t take away from the fact it’s crap.
