This year Corina and I don’t really have any plans for Halloween evening, so we’re going to bust out some Shaun Of The Dead. I’ve owned it for quite awhile now after ordering it when I got suckered into joining Columbia House. Analog Giant gave me the idea on that one the other day and it definitely sounded like a good plan.
The Noel Gallagher performance I mentioned last week sold out in a blink of an eye and I didn’t get tickets. The part that I found was bullshit about it was that the tickets actually went on sale before 10am, which caught me napping a bit. The time on my computer is set by the Apple Server, so I know my time wasn’t fast. When I refreshed my browser it was 9:57am and they were already on sale. This is total horsecrap on the part of TicketBastard. Any other time I’ve ordered tickets to a show they were actually after 10 according to my clock, so what gives?
I can now officially say I’ve taken to watching Heroes. Last week I downloaded all the episodes and watched them to catch up with the season and watched my first “live” episode yesterday. It’s so much better without commercials. So far I think the show is interesting and worth watching week-in, week-out, but I’m really not falling all over myself with praise for the show like many other people I’ve heard talk about it. I like how the show has veered away from having that comic book campy feel to it, but I figure it’ll eventually veer down that path. People like to compare the show to LOST, and while I can see the parallels, it isn’t as engrossing as what the first season of LOST was.
