Now I’m posting this here, not because I’m a big supporter of PETA, but mainly because it’s so well done. Super Chick Sisters is a pretty complete ripoff of Super Mario Bros, to the point it actually features Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess and Bowser in cameo appearances. Now I have my doubts that Nintendo actually approved of this, so I would probably expect some type of cease and desist flying PETAs way sometime in the near future.

The game plays similar to Super Mario Bros, where you jump on enemies to kill them, hit question mark boxes(that yield tofu squares instead of mushrooms) and a flag pole to finish each level. The final battle in the game even borrows rather liberally from the end battle from Super Mario World, but instead of Bowser it is Colonel Sanders(who is originally disguised as Bowser) in the floating vat above you, trying to pick you up and drop you into a deep fryer. It’s pretty funny.

The premise of the game starts with Pamela Anderson, who is probably the best known supporter of PETA, being kidnapped and it’s your job to rescue her. Throughout the game you pass PETA supporters carrying signs, who then tell you about all the horrible things that KFC does to their chickens. Once you rescue Pam she sums up all that is wrong and evil with KFC with a nice lecture.

Personally I found the game amusing, if not a little heavy handed. The whole presentation was very well put together and the game is pretty playable. Worth checking out if you have a half hour to kill.
