Things have been a little quiet around here of late mainly because our recent move. We currently don’t have an internet connection where we are, so that is being setup on Tuesday for us. The best we have at our disposal currently is a 28.8kb connection, so that is pretty much used only in a dire internet emergency. This pretty much accounts for the lack of posts lately. We got all of our stuff out of the old apartment on Tuesday and now have a whole hell of a lot of unpacking to do. As we’re doing that we’re also sorting though all the crap we own and deciding what to get rid of. The problem we’ve run into is that I had my own apartment and stuff when I moved out on my own, as well as from when I was in college. Corina had her own fully stocked 2 bedroom apartment in her parents place before we moved in together. We then merged all the stuff we had together. Now we’ve moved back into Corina’s old apartment at her parents place and we have all the stuff that Corina left behind in the apartment, plus our stuff, plus the new stuff we got as wedding gifts. It’s borderline ridiculous all the stuff we have. Scratch that, it is ridiculous all the stuff we have. So if anyone happens to need pots and pans or a hundred mismatched glasses and mugs give us a call, we can hook you up.
After doing the big move we went to a Halloween party. Usually we are the ones hosting the Halloween party, but this year we couldn’t manage it with moving and all, so Mel and Robb took up the task. I had much grander plans for a costume this year, but since the wedding and the aforementioned move chewed up much of my time in the last 2 months I just didn’t have time. So I cooked up an alternate scheme to dress as everyone’s favourite Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro. This pretty much sprung from the fact I recently bought a military style jacket from Old Navy and I decided it would be pretty easy to pull together.
Tonight I’m off to see Matthew Good play live and acoustic at Hamilton Place. Good times to be had in the Hammer tonight.
