Maybe I missed a memo or something, but when did it become socially acceptable to bring your dog with you everywhere? I just went to Best Buy on a whim today and I spied this scene that just made Corina and I wonder(good thing I had my handy new camera with me).
We were both puzzled by this, as to me it just didn’t seem right. I suppose it’s one of those things if no one says anything, then people will keep pushing the boundaries of social acceptance. You know they would have walked by 2 blue shirted Best Buy minions on the way in, so obviously they didn’t care. I know the whole practice of having purse dogs has become more common, but a dog on a leash? What if it pissed or craps on the floor? I understand taking your dog to a pet store, where they have an open door policy for pets, but electronic stores now? The part that gets me is that there are 2 people. One of them couldn’t have stood outside while the other went in? Is this couple that into PC games that they both needed to be in the store? While it’s possible they did walk to Best Buy, the location in Kitchener isn’t really along the walking paths in town, so odds are they probably drove to the store. The dog can’t stay in a car for 10 minutes? Things that make me wonder.
